One of the world’s largest manufacturing companies needed to ensure that building material product samples and marketing support collateral were procured properly, stored securely, and timely and accurately fulfilled to their network of over 2,000 distributors. Each distributor was allocated “co-op” funds for the acquisition of support materials and premium items. The company’s challenge - no more room internally to support the activities and internal legacy systems outdated for future needs. Their solution was to outsource the functions to Materialogic for improved service and additional functionality. A new procurement process was established, fulfillment and distribution activities were transitioned to the Midwest, and INFOplus was introduced to assist in managing the overall supply chain. Finally, a new custom software application program was written to move allocated funds into and out of the distributor accounts according to the business needs and performance of that distributor. Orders are automatically released or held based upon funds available and Sales Management receives activity based reporting on-line.
